Motor City Rocks

nice device Nice Device detroit concerts A woman of many talents (singer, songwriter, musician). Alicia Gbur rounded up a few guys to form the Nice Device in 2001. When Zach Shipps, who played bass and provided backing vocals, left the band to join Electric Six, Matt Hatch stepped in to play bass.

The band’s sound, which can be described as “grimy pop”, is enough to keep your ears wanting more. Gbur’s voice is as unique as the band’s sound – which is spot on. The guitar-heavy songs don’t overpower the vocals, as is the case with most bands. You’re left with pure rock ‘n’ roll – with a dash of pop mixed in.
