Gore Gore Girls
The Gore Gore Girls have gone through a few lineup changes since they formed in 1997, but have still managed to be a mainstay on the Detroit music scene under the leadership of Amy Surdu (guitar and vocals.) As with many of the Detroit bands, the Gore Gore Girls’ style crosses many musical and generational boundaries. With a sound that incorporates 60’s girl group style and Motown soul, along with some raw punk, the trio lays down songs that are gritty, catchy and fun. The band is hardly seen without their trademark stage attire, which consists of all white outfits, complete with go-go boots.
