Friendly Foes

friendly foes Friendly Foes detroit concerts Formed once lead singer Ryan Allen’s other band Thunderbirds Are Now! went on hiatus, Friendly Foes are a power-pop rock trio. Decidedly more straigtforward pop rock than TAN!’s post-New Wave, Friendly Foes have a penchant for writing short, simple songs. Bassist Liz Wittman and drummer Brad Elliot complete the lineup, and began playing shows together regularly in 2008. Their debut albumĀ Born Radical Friendly Foes detroit concerts was released in late 2008 (Gangplank Records), with production by Blanche’s Dave Feeny at the Tempermill Studio, and was warmly received by both local and national press. Support of the record continued into 2009, with a steady stream of shows in and around the Midwest.
