Eleanora
Eleanora is a collaboration by some talented musicians whose wide spectrum of influences and styles merge to create a melodic and eclectic Indie Folk sound. The mix of classically trained and self-taught styles, as well as the presence of their talent in other artistic mediums makes this atmospheric sound edifying and soothing.
This quintet is made up of Leah Woods, Scottie Stone, Julia Stephenson, James Dunstan and Dave Schultz. Leah (Vocals, Guitar, Clarinet, Cello, Glockenspiel) studied clarinet atInterlochen Arts Academy, and was a member of the Michigan All-State
band for two years. On top of performing as a solo musician and a part of The Urban Folk Collective she has played with Blair and The Boyfriends as well. Scottie (Drums) is a well-known face around Detroit and its satellite communities, known for being the shirtless drummer in The Rogue Satellites, Marco Polio and The New Vaccines, and Blair and The Boyfriends. Julia Stephenson (Violin, Guitar, Cello, Glockenspiel, Vocals) has been a member of Blair and The Boyfriends. James Dunstan (Bass) is a talented mixed media artist and has spent more recent years training to be a sound engineer. Dave Schultz (Guitar and Vocals) has been seen onstage with The Maunder Minimum.
Eleanora shows a depth in their music, but is very much the type of music to sit back and enjoy.
