800beloved

800beloved 800beloved detroit concerts At the heart of gothic, shoegazing leaning 800beloved is frontman Sean Lynch.  The son of famed Michigan poet Thomas Lynch, by day Lynch works as a cosmetologist at the family funeral home in Milford, MI while pursuing the masterfully music stylings of 800beloved at his downtown studio at night.  A painter and artist at heart, Lynch combines the pop musical legacy of the My Bloody Valentine , New Order and The Bauhaus to form a modern electronic sound that is both pure and wholly originally.  Before forming 800beloved, in 2001 a young Sean Lynch recorded a hard-to-find solo album called 88 Tracks to Take that serves as the bluprint for 800beloved.

In 2008, Sean lynch co-produced the critically acclaimed four-track Silverghost E.P. The Equine Lips at his home studio.  While in 2009, 800beloved released their their debut album titled Bouquet on the the electronic centered label Moodgadget. Since then the band has continued to work on it’s masterful music while playing select, well received shows throughout the Midwest.

Note: The “800″ in the bands name is taken from modern pop-culture’s affair with the North American toll-free phone number extension 1-800, while the word “beloved” points to the band’s lyrical usage of ironically naive subject matter.
