Flashback: Psych-Rock Prognosicators Ebeling-Hughes

When I got a fake ID and started squirming my way into shows, one of the first bands I had the fortune to see was Ebeling-Hughes. As creative as anything by the Flaming Lips or Syd Barrett, the band’s songs were immaculately produced and performed. Bob Ebeling and Chuck Hughes were also just really cool dudes. Bob once got into an argument with a bouncer because said bouncer wouldn’t let me backstage. Then he gave me a beer (he still does really cool shit over at E-Lab Recording, too).

Thanks to the miracles of modern technology their catalog is now available through Bandcamp. There are the original releases: the little bugs glow, Transfigured Night, and EH3. An assortment of bonus material has also been added to EH3 and 27-tracks compiled to create EH4. Go and catch up on some good memories.
