Arts, Beats and Eats in Royal Oak all weekend
Arts, Beats & Eats will be taking place this weekend in Royal Oak for the second year in a row. The event was moved from Pontiac to encourage cluster-fuck walking conditions for all attendees. The event also doubles as an annual fundraiser for the Royal Oak Police Department [they issued 1900+ parking tickets in unmarked "no parking" zones last year - way to "protect and serve" -Ed.]. Despite have to dodge massive amounts of screaming children, guido couples, and grannies; Arts, Beats & Eats will be showcasing some amazing music, some lovely artworks (art listing here) and will offer some of the finest overpriced food to ever be served out of a booth (food listing here.)
Music wise, there are 11 stages named after our beloved corporate overlords. Each stage goes all 4 days and has around 6 acts performing (11 x 4 x 6 = !#$?). Here’s Motor City Rocks’ guide to the music worth checking out:
