Rag Wrap – March 16, 2009

Written by Dr. Detroit. Posted in Detroit Concerts

Here’s your chance to “obtain” one of the greatest, never released albums in all of Detroit rock lore – Free Electricity by The Go.  Back in 2001, the brilliant minds over at Sub Pop felt that this follow up to The Go’s debut album Whatcha’ Doin was not worthy of a release so they squashed it, but now some bloke from Canada went and put it up on the internet in some fancy jangled MP3 format for your listening pleasure.

The Hard Lessons will be playing the second annually Rothbury Festival (better get paid upfront cause I hear that Double JJ Ranch is broke.)  Here’s a littel Q&A with Korin of The Hard Lessons who will be at SXSW this week.

Also later this week, if you happen to be a Direct TV subscriber you can catch live footage of the Von Bondies from their 2009 SXSW performances.

Bryan Metro likes shrooms, go figure!
