Made in Detroit logo 711016 Kid Rock Scholarship At Wayne State University detroit concerts Kid Rock has recently set up a musical scholarship at Detroit’s Wayne State University with the proceeds from his Made In Detroit clothing line (he bought the Made In Detroit line in 2007).

Detroit has a long history of successful rock musicians donating their time and money to national charities and the local community. It’s no secret that Eminem owns property, studios and companies that reside in and around Metro Detroit, and Eminem’s charity work is second to none.

Here are a few links to the charity work other famous Detroit rockers have done: Iggy Pop, Alto Reed, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Glen Fry.
