I have never seen a Cityfest crowd as big as the one that was there on Sunday. It was way too packed. Also the amount of people watching George Clinton was insane. Also insane was George Clinton. The collection of people on stage was amazing. There was a guy in a karate outfit, a roller girl, a guy with pants made of feathers, diaper guy plus about 30 other people. Although I usually find that George Clinton’s shows usually get a bit repetitious and they love repeating catchy phrases over and over and over, I always find him entertaining.
The band I ended up liking the most at Cityfest was The Dirty Dozen Brass Band. I was blown away by how good these guys were. They put their own New Orleans spin on classic songs such as “Superstition”, “Purple Rain”, “What’s Going On” alongside traditional brass band standards.
Thanks to everyone involved with putting on Cityfest again this year!
Below are some scenes from days 4 & 5 of Cityfest. Better pictures are here, better writing is here.

Deastro is great! I just saw him perform as Our Brother the Megazord at the Pike Room.
