Well it looks like The Metro Times has itself a new fancy schmancy web design (very impressive, and about damn time). This week Michael Hurtt has a very interesting story on Jack Oblivian is behind much of the sonic inspiration of the The White Stripes sound.

Also in this week’s MT is Detour Rock City headliner Pas/Cal.

Scott Ashton (a.k.a. Rock Action of Iggy & The Stooges) talks with The Leader about The Stooges long standing reunion.

Local Detroit singer/songwriter and record label “executive” Zach Curd has released several home made recording on his personal blog (here and here). If your looking for some new music to get you through hump day, here’s your site.

Catch Zach Curd’s band The Pop Project, with The Fifty, Lightning Love @ Fifth Avenue (Royal Oak) this Thursday night. While you are there pick up a copy of their spectacular new album Stars of Stage and Screen.
