This weekend is the Detroit River Days, which offers a varity of free music. Local Michigan rock performers include; Taproot, The Verve Pipe, The Howling Diablos, Universal Temple of Divine Power, Broadzilla, Hotness, The Twistin Tarantulas, The Deadstring Brothers, and Korin & Augie of The Hard Lessons.

Once again, hometown hero Alice Cooper will will play the Michigan State Fair in Detroit on Wednesday, August 27. Here is the complete Alice Cooper summer tour schedule.

Kid Rock is still boycotting Apple iTunes, but will eventually give in.

Finally, 1065 “The End” in Charlotte,has posted several live video clips from Sponge’s recent performance in their green room studios, which “The End” shamelessly named after their sponsor’s energy drink.
