4th Annual Zombie Dance Party

October 31, 2007 by Matt in Detroit Concerts with 0 Comments

This past weekend was the 4th Annual Zombie Dance Party/Ghoul’s Delight cd release party. The night was a lot of fun and all the costumes looked great. My personal favorite was the zombie cast of Gilligan’s Island. Here are some pictures I found on Flickr from people I don’t know.

Make sure you pick up a copy of “Ghoul’s Delight” from Bellyache Records. The double cd features 33 Halloween songs from all your fav Detroit bands such and The Hentchmen, 3-D Invisibles, Ghost City, The Muldoons, Serenity Court and more.

Team Young also had a Halloween party this weekend. These pictures make me feel old and uncool.

The Detroit News has an article about the area’s haunted theaters. However the article mentions the Majestic is haunted because Houdini’s final performance was there but it actually wasn’t. His last performance took place at the Garrick Theatre.

I finally had a chance to check out the Crofoot the other night and I have to say that it’s great. There really isn’t much wrong with it that I noticed. The sound was good, the stage is high enough so everyone could see, there are big clean bathrooms, geting a drink was easy, and so on. I know a lot of people don’t want to go to Pontiac but everyone should head up and check the place out.

The Metro Times talks with Annie Moss and Erik Adams who ran the website Just Haircuts and Jackets, which sadly doesn’t exist anymore. The article also talks a bit about Great Lakes Myth Society.
