Rag Wrap – September 13, 2007

On Saturday there is a new festival taking place called The People’s Art Festival. The event is at the Russell Industrial Center in Detroit and is free. There will be a bunch of local bands on 2 stages, visual artists and filmakers. As usual MCR is behind the times and hadn’t heard about this until we read the article in the Freep. Apparently there is an article in Real Detroit as well. Who knew?

Ghost City has a record coming out soon but if you can’t wait for that,head over to the band’s Myspace page and you can buy each track individually.

Real Detroit talks with the guys from Detour about the launch of the site. Remember that next weekend is the Detour Launch Party.Real D also has a review of the latest cd from The Beggars.

Last weekend the Von Bondies played for the first time in 2 years. The Metro Times was there and has the details.
