Weekend Lowdown – May 16, 2007

Tomorrow night at the Blind Pig there is a great show taking place. The Go will be playing along with Freer, Siddartha and The Questions. I’ve seen all those bands many times, all good, trust me. Doors for this are at 9:30 so count on a late night. For all the non Detroit area Go fans, they will be on the East Coast for a string of dates with Freer at the end of June.

The Gore Gore Girls got a mention in this month’s Playboy, page 32 as I’ve been told. Sadly no pictorial to go along with the mention.

Saturday at the Magic Stick is a Beehive Records Showcase with The Expatriates, Esquire, and Cuckold. All 3 of these bands have new singles out on Beehive. Check out the label’s site to get the tracks.

The High Strung’s new album “Get the Guests” came out on Tuesday, buy it, it’s good.
