Peacejam: Ready To Rock
MCR’s favorite world-changing organization PeaceJam, founded by a Ramrod and his lovely wife, and employer of the world famous Mr. Gary, is hosting a massive event in Denver with all kinds of important people on hand. Here’s the scoop:
The Public Talk with The Nobel Peace Laureates sponsored by PeaceJam Foundation is at Magness Arena on the University of Denver Campus on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 4 pm. Nobels include the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Wangari Maathai, Adolfo
Perez Esquivel, President Oscar Arias, Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Jody Williams, Mairead Corrigan Maguire, Prime Minister Jose Ramos-Horta, Betty Williams, Shirin Ebadi and tix are available through Ticketmaster (303) 830-8497 or (719) 520-9090. Tickets are $25, $50, $75, or $100.
PeaceJam is also hosting The 6 Female Nobel Peace Laureate Talk. This event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006 at 6:30 pm at Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver. The Nobels include Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Jody Williams, Shirin Ebadi, Betty Williams, Mairead Corrigan Maguire and Wangari Maathai. Tix are $100.00 (Gold Circle seating is $150.00).
