Handyside Out, Buick In!

July 13, 2005 by Sultan in Detroit Concerts with 0 Comments

Chris Handyside (aka “Sassy”) will be bowing out of Detroit’s favorite local music show Radio Fever. He tells MCR, “I’m departing to embark on my long overlooked passion for tagging polar bears in the Arctic and trying to find my way to the dark heart of Nunavit.” We’ll listen for him occasinally on the call-in lines from greener pastures. Fear not, on-air debauchery will be now covered by Young Soul Rebel Dave Buick.

Speaking of Debauchery… Porchsleeper’s Brian and Derek sit down with a pile of today’s hit records and a whole lot of beer. Roll over to the Metrotimes for that.

We all love girls who rock… Under My Heels goes down at the Magic Bag this weekend.

Likin’ It… The Volebeats have a new record entitled Like Her. Mark Deming reviews it at All Music Guide.
