Come On Now

The Come Ons are releasing a 12-inch deejay style single. Yeah, you heard us. It consists of four songs including “Higher” plus a techno remix. In addition to another original, Michael Ivins of the Flaming Lips remixes their recording of “I Feel Love” – as they put it “an 8 and a half minute freak out.” There will be a release party for the disc this Saturday at the Lager House. Also on the bill are The Hard Lessons and The Rants.

We can’t imagine how The Come Ons have time for a “Sunday Drive” these days… seems they’ve been pretty busy. They recently made a video with It Came From Detroit director James Petix. Check it out at their website. Unrecording Records will release a Come Ons track as part of a Gun Club tribute. Also included on the compilation are Detroit pals Blanche, Demolition Dollrods and the Dirtbombs.
