GARRICK THEATRE, WHO KNEW?
So we almost stumped ourselves with the MCR Contest when we asked “Where in the Motor City did Harry Houdini perform his last show?” Apparently the widely held theory that it was at the Majestic Theatre was actually an urban myth. Houdini’s last show was in Detroit however, but instead at the Garrick Theatre. Keeping with typical Detroit preservationist fashion, the Garrick Theatre is now a parking lot.

Congrats to Brad K of Hamtramck for being selected randomly from the correct answers and scoring a pair of tickets to the Holy Fire show at the Magic Stick tomorrow night. See ya there.
