The Ruiners on Spike TV

Seeing them too, of course! Tomorrow, Spike TV will be in Ferndale to film “the usual fire, motorcycle stunts, random guitar smashing, and jocularity a plenty.” The Ruiners will have live performance footage and music from their new, unreleased album on a reality show airing in June. The Ruiners are one of two remaining bands in a nationwide contest. The show focuses around a group of interns competing for an industry job at Atlantic Records. One intern will be responsible for picking one of two bands to perform with Sugar Ray here in Detroit. After the filming, they’ll head downtown to meet Sugar Ray (we’re told the K.I.D. will be on hand as well), and find out who the winner is. We hear that Spike TV producers found the band after reading about their rowdy Magic Stick show on a Detroit music website.
