Heralded Detroit author Elmore Leonard has released a new book set here in the D. Mr. Paradise is a murder mystery revolving around two Detroit loft dwellers – one a Victoria’s Secret model and the other an escort gal. Look for mentions of Detroit bands The Dirtbombs, The Go and Bantam Rooster. We’ve also heard whispers that Detroit City Council (DCC) frontman Tom Potter was made into an unamed character.

Speacking of DCC, MCR has learned that Kevin Corrigan on the WB’s series Grounded For Life will be fashionably sporting a DCC shirt… hip.

AND… the DCC has added a new guitarist: Duminie Allen. Previous affiliations include Enemy Squad, Soul Clique and none of the than the P-FUNK ALL STARS!
