Stop buying mulitiple copies Maxim Blender magazine and save some money for this hottt new single from The Avatars. The folks at No Fun Records tell us it will be available in a couple of weeks.
In a land a bit further south (Brazil to be exact), The Avatars are being included on a compilation put out by Ordinary Recordings. Also on the compilation is another No Fun Records band The Coronados. Avatars drummer Claudia and guitarist Charlie make up the band along with Melody Baetens (former Gore Gore Girl, current Siren).
You can catch the Avatars live tonight at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor. They will be playing with The Sights and The Waxwings. If you miss tonight, they will also be playing the Hamtramck Blowout Pre-Party at the Magic Stick on March 3. If you screw up both of those, you’ve still got a chance… catch them opening the show for the highly anticipated Von Bondies record release bash at the Stick on March 9.
