The Free Press gives us a quick recap of the Detroit Sounds and Spirits Old-Fashioned Holiday Spectacular, but really just tells us more about the Jack/Jason story.
A new music festival in Detroit will be starting up in 2005 and looks to be a great idea. The festival is replacing the Jazz festival and will now feature all types of music. The festival is planned for 4 days at multiple downtown locations.
Rachel May gives us the details on the closing of Music Menu in Greektown along with some news on the Twistin’ Tarantula’s.
8 Mile road now has it’s own monument which of all places happens to be in Northville.
Detroit is now the most dangerous city in America, ranks #1 in pedestrian deaths(whatever that means) and will no longer be in the top 10 most populated cities, but guess what, Detroit serves the best public school lunches and that’s something to be proud of. The Free Press lets us know where Detroit ranks nationally in all sorts of categories.
The Ren Cen is set to get a new cabaret style movie theater by June of 2004 which I think will be the only first run movie theater in the city.
