The Metro Times “Best of Detroit” issue hit newsstands today and as usual is a great read. Check out the section called “A Character Study” where people such as Mick Collins, Dave Buick, Stirling and “Papa Joe” Xainea are interviewed.
Elsewhere in the paper there is a category called “best website dedicated to Detroit” and guess who won……..not us. It went to another fine site, Fabulous Ruins of Detroit. I’m just wondering if we here at MCR actually received a vote. Maybe we should have looked into actually voting.
Congrats to the Detroit Shock on winning the WNBA Championship!!!
As usual NME has some Detroit news for us. They are reporting that Eminem is going to make a surprise appearance at The State on Sunday. Thanks to NME for ruining the suprise.
A couple members of the MCR crew are out in L.A. checking out the filming of “Detroit Punks“. Word on the street is that Wayne Kramer was in the interview chair today. Check back Monday for all the details on the shoot.
